The Paris-based Danish composer received the coveted Nordic music prize for his score of the French/Brazilian feature film Shine Your Eyes by Matias Mariani.
The winner of the 11th Harpa Nordic Film Composer Award was announced yesterday at the closing day of the Nordic Film Music Days.
This year’s jury consisting of the 2020 Norwegian winning composer Gaute Storaas, UK’s Harriet Moss of Manners McDade Artist Management LLP, Germany’s Michael Aust, Festival Director SoundTrack Cologne & SoundTrack Zurich, UK composer Nainita Desai, and Simon Greenaway, ASCAP Vice President said: “We want to honour a score which is inventive, unconventional, and mysterious. A bold and very accomplished score that supports the image in the finest way. This film is not packed with music; the music comes in at the right places. The creative and colourful use of deliberately chosen small ensemble, makes you listen, and stays with you long after the film is over.”
