Danish Rivals, collects C21 Drama Pitch Honourable Mentions

Rivals produced by Apple Tree Productions was among 12 international premium series vying for best drama series pitch at Content London.

Created by seasoned author and writer Anders Rønnow Klarlund (Loving Adults, White Sands), the six-part series Rivals combines suspense with environmental issues, and family honour - see our separate story - Exclusive - Content London Drama Pitch: Federation boards The Winter Pack, ITV Studios Rivals.

The project in development is backed by TV2 Denmark, ITV Studios, the Danish Film Institute and West Danish Film Fund. Apple Tree Productions’ Piv Bernth is producing.

Earlier in the week, the Norwegian youth drama Dome 16 also backed by the Fund, was crowned best children & youth series at the 62nd Rose d’or awards. The futuristic love story created by Thomas Seeberg Torjussen was produced by Tordenfilm for NRK, with Global Screen handling sales.
