The Danish TV drama created by Maja Jul Larsen continues to receive international recognition, ahead of its premiere this Sunday on DR1.

Selected among six international TV series, Cry Wolf (Ulven kommer) was handed out on Saturday the Golden Eye-Best Series award, endowed with a CHF 10,000 cash prize at the Zurich International Film Festival.

Earlier this year, the drama was selected for Series Mania’s competition programme.

Created by Maja Juul Larssen (The Legacy), with Pernille Fischer Christensen attached as concept-director, the series is an intense emotional drama about a teenage girl who accuses her step father of domestic violence. The dedicated social worker Lars takes on the case.

In the starring roles are Bjarne Henriksen, newcomer Flora Ofelia Hofmann Lindahl, Peter Plaugborg and Christine Albeck Børge. The series was produced by Claudia Saginario for DR Drama, with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

DR Sales handles global distribution.

Cry Wolf premieres on DR1 Sunday October 11 at 20.00 and on DRTV at 6.00.
