Sweden’s Love & Anarchy, Delete Me, Iceland’s Journey, Norway’s Exit 2, About Saturday, Finland’s Pillow Case, Payday are among the TV dramas running at both awards events.
For the third time, C21Media in London will be organising on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union the prestigious Rose d’or Awards, to be held November 29, on the opening day of its own Content London TV event, set to close December 1st with the C21 International Drama Awards.
Celebrating this year its 60th anniversary the Rose d’Or Awards will be held virtually.
The programmes selected by a jury of 150 broadcast executives, were chosen from over 750 entries across 12 categories.
Markus Sterky, Chair of the EBU TV Committee and content strategist at SVT said: “Covid lockdown or not, the Rose d’Or selection always delivers and shows that the industry has managed to ride out the pandemic intact! As always, it’s a truly international selection with strong representation from producers and broadcasters alike. The growing presence of streaming platforms has also helped raise the stakes – and made the selection feel both fresh and very diverse. So, this year, the record numbers of high-quality entries has made the jury’s work deliciously difficult!”
Mirroring the region’s ability to adapt to the market’s demands, the Nordics are running in traditionally strong categories such as children and youth content, news & current affairs, as well as in the multi-platform and comedy sections.
Here are the following Rose d’or Nordic contenders:
