A former senior sales director at Endemol Shine International, Jago joined Paris-based Banijay when it took over the Anglo-Dutch Endemol Shine Group in 2020. She has gradually climbed the ranks of Banijay’s global distribution entity, from Executive Assistant in 2006 to Senior Vice-President Nordics since last year, to her new position as Executive Vice-President, EMEA Sales and Acquisitions. She will work alongside Matt Creasey, EVP, Sales, Co-Productions & Acquisitions, Rest of the World.
Jago she will report to Banijay Right’s CEO Cathy Payne who said: “Claire has a proven track record across EMEA, is a determined sales force and demonstrates tremendous commercial judgement, making her the perfect fit for the role. We have worked together for years and I look forward to continuing to partner closely in further building out our success course in the region.”
Among Banijay Right’s most sought-after themed collections is Nordic Drama, with a rich line-up of Nordic scripted programmes from Banijay Group’s Nordic labels or third-party pick-ups. Those include Filmlance International’s Caliphate, nominated for 2020’s Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize, Yellow Bird’s multi-season hit show Bächström, Jarowskij’s cult SVT period drama The Restaurant and Rubicon TV’s Norwegian YA series After Party (Nach) which premiered on Discovery Plus March 25.
