The Scandinavian sales company The Yellow Affair has picked up two Finnish films dealing with love and relationships: Things We Do for Love by Matti Ijäs produced by Aamu Film, and Open Up to Me by Simon Halinen produced by Edith Film. Things We Do for Love tells the story of the shy Vaarala who falls in love with the fiery Ansa, but the timing is awful as Ansa's jealous ex-con ex-husband has come to town. Open Up to Me (Previously known as Pizza Desperata) centres on Maarit, a beautiful woman, who used to be a man. She falls in love with Sami - soccer coach, teacher and family man - but their relationship is quickly put to the test. Leea Klemola and Peter Franzén have the title roles. Both films supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond will screen at the Nordic Film Market in Gothenburg before heading off to the European Film Market in Berlin.
