Helgi Felixson's documentary God Bless Iceland about the financial crisis in Iceland, is hitting Icelandic screens on October 6, exactly one year after the collapse of the country's three major banks. 'God Bless Iceland' were the words pronounced by the former prime Minister of Iceland Geir Haarde on October 6, 2008, when he announced to his nation that Iceland was being hit by one of its worse economic crisis in history. The film was produced and directed by the Icelandic born Helgi Felixson for his Stockholm-based company Felix Film, with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Green Light Film is the local distributor.
