Göteborg’s Film Festival’s Dragon awards 2016 were a clean sweep for Nordisk Film & TV Fond, associated to the three top Nordic awards: Land of Mine-Best Nordic Film, Don Juan Best Nordic Documentary and Welcome to Norway, Audience Award-Best Nordic Film.
Martin Zandvliet’s drama Land of Mine was handed out the world’s largest film prize (SEK 1 million/€106.000), just after collecting €10.000 cash prize in Rotterdam for the Warsteiner Audience Award.
Other Göteborg winners backed by the Fund include Rúnar Rúnarsson’s Sparrows that collected the FIPRESCI award and Maria Bäck’s I Remember when I Die, bestowed an Honorary Mention from the jury of the Documentary competition. The director won the Nordic Talents Pitch prize in 2012 for the project.
