Director Thora Lorentzen, who graduated from The Natonal Film School of Denmark, recieved the Jury's Special Mention for her project Absolute Beginners - a coming-of-age documentary series.

Absolute Beginners follows the emotional relationships between a group of teenage students throughout a year at the music residential school “Ollerup Efterskole”. Mara falls in love with Salik, whom, on the other hand, starts growing confusingly strong feelings for his best friend Lau.

The Jury said: "The Nordic Talent Special Mention goes to a director who showed great courage and unforgettable scenes in her graduation film and we are sure she will bring that strong personal voice and sensitivity to the kids in her next project. The Special Mention goes to ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS and the brave director Thora Lorentzen."
