Cold

Cold will be the second collaboration of the writer Snjolaug Ludviksdottir, director Thora Hilmarsdottir and producer Eva Sigurdardottir. The sci-fi Cold happens in Iceland after the sun suddenly disappears into a black hole, and Earth is plunged into darkness. The film follows a family of eight who tries to survive the harsh conditions that ensue. At the centre of the story is 24-year-old Sara, whose energy and positive attitude is tested in this new cold world. It explores the psychological effect that isolation and the prospect of the “end of our world” can have on people.
