Motlys, one of Norway's most established production companies collected the new Viaplay Nordic Film Award for Dag Johan Haugerud's (pictured) feature debut I Belong at Haugesund's Norwegian International Film Festival on Tuesday, just a few days after receiving no less than six national Amanda Film Awards including Best Norwegian Film for Turn Me On, Goddammit.

Jannicke Systad Jacobsen's directorial debut Turn Me On, Goddammit also received an Amanda award for Best Cinematography (Marianne Bakke). Motlys' other production Oslo, August 31st was handed out two Amandas for Best Director (Joachim Trier) and Best Editing (Olivier Bugge Coutté) and The Orheim Company another two awards for Best Actor (Kristoffer Joner) and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Cecilie A. Mosli).

Another film that triumphed at Norway's main film awards ceremony transmitted live on TV2 Norge last Friday is Pål Sletaune's Babycall (4 ½ Film), recipient of the most Amandas (4) for Best Actress (Noomi Rapace), Screenplay (Sletaune), Production Design/Art Direction (Roger Rosenberg) and Best Sound Design (Tormod Ringnes and Christian Schaaning).

Øyvind Sandberg's The People by the Fjord won Best Documentary and the Norwegian blockbuster Headhunters the People's Amanda. The two films were supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond that received a total of eight Amanda awards.
