The celebrated Icelandic director of the 2006 Oscar nominated short film The Last Farm, told nordiskfilmogtvfond.com in Cannes that he will start working on his first feature film for Zik Zak Filmworks, as soon as he graduates from the Danish Film School later this month. Rúnarsson's feature debut, yet to be titled, will be "a coming of age film about a 67 year-old man. All my films are about myself, people I love, or the way I see the world" said the young director who started making low budget films at the age of 17. Rúnarsson's two multiple award-winning films The Last Farm and Two Birds were produced by Zik Zak. His latest short, Anna, made as part of the Danish Film School's graduation works, screened in Cannes' Directors Fortnight last May.
