Acclaimed Danish director Annette K. Olesen (pictured) known for her strong character-driven dramas featuring strong women (Borgen, Little Soldier, In Your Hands) is back behind the camera for her fifth feature film The Shooter (Skytten). Olesen's regular actress Trine Dyrholm plays a journalist/activist, fighting against the government's plan to pact with the US to drill for oil in the Arctic. The political thriller also stars Kim Bodnia, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Kristian Halken. Script is by Lars K. Andersen, Michael W. Horsten and Åke Sandgren, cinematographer is Rasmus Videbæk (A Royal Affair). The DKK18.4m film is produced by Nordisk Film with support from the Danish Film Institute.
